To identify footage or images

Visit a Visual History Access (VHA) site near you to view testimonies in the archive and select your footage. To search for a VHA site nearest you, please go to: www.dornsife.usc.edu/vhi/locator.

Some testimonies can be viewed on the Institute's VHA Online.

TESTIMONIES
Footage
Footage can be provided in broadcast quality QuickTime files at various resolutions: 8 bit uncompressed, DV50, and DV25.

The QuickTime files can be delivered via FTP or by hard drive. FTP delivery is only available for orders of up to 1 DV50 file or 2 DV25 files. 8 bit uncompressed files, and more than 1 DV50 or 2 DV25 files require delivery by hard drive.
COSTS
$100 per file
*$150 for hard drive (if provided by Institute)
Images
Images can be provided in JPEG or Photoshop format and delivered via email or FTP. Image quality is limited because it is being extracted from the standard definition video recordings.

When you should expect your order

Requests for testimony copies take approximately four weeks to complete.

Searching for a testimony

The Visual History Archive Online provides an opportunity for researchers to search cataloguing and indexing data associated with nearly 52,000 testimonies. Approximately 1100 testimony videos can be viewed online and data information can be seen for all.
